Join Mary Ann’s Virtual Casting Workshop, dive into the how and why of casting, and watch your fly casting go from good to great. You will boost your confidence, improve accuracy, and increase your distance.

The Eight-Week Workshop will run from July 19 to September 6, 2025. Sessions will be held on Saturdays from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Pacific Time. With a maximum of eight students, this interactive Workshop fosters a supportive and collaborative learning environment. Everyone can learn from each other, creating a sense of inclusion, encouragement, and motivation.

The content focuses on building a foundational cast at 30’ and then Accuracy, Distance, and Aerial mends from 20′ to 40′ Plus.

Your Commitment:

Dedicate 4 to 5 hours weekly for the Virtual Group Session,   your Casting Practice, and Virtual 1:1 Coaching. A camera tripod, brightly colored fly lines, measuring tape, and an Echo Micro Practice Rod can enhance your learning experience.

Take Your Cast from Good to Great – Summer 2025

Over eight weeks, you’ll dive into the art and science of casting and watch your fishing adventures transform. You will boost your confidence, improve your accuracy, and increase your distance. Additionally, you’ll learn casting techniques to match the fishing situation.

By the end of the workshop, you will have a solid framework for further elevating your casting skills. You find that your time on the water becomes more enjoyable, and you’ll be reeling in a few more fish. This sense of personal growth and achievement is one of the most rewarding aspects of mastering a skill.

This interactive online workshop, limited to a maximum of eight students, fosters a supportive and collaborative learning environment. Everyone can learn from each other, creating a sense of encouragement and motivation that is invaluable in the learning process.

The Spring 2025 workshop will be held on Saturdays from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Pacific Time, a schedule designed to accommodate your other commitments. The workshop will run for eight weeks, starting on July 19th  and ending on September 6th, 2025.

Your Commitment:

To maximize your investment, dedicate 4 to 5 hours weekly to the Virtual Group Session, your Casting Practice, and Virtual 1:1 Coaching. While not mandatory, investing in a camera tripod and device holder can profoundly enhance your learning experience. These tools will allow you to record your casting practice from different angles, providing a comprehensive view of your technique. Brightly colored fly lines can facilitate the analysis of your videos, and a 100-foot measuring tape and soccer cones can serve as beneficial tools for practice. An Echo Micro Practice Rod is also indispensable for quick practice sessions in confined spaces.
