This class is for all anglers, new or experienced, who want to ensure they have a solid foundation in fly casting.
At the end of this workshop, you will:
- Effectively cast the overhead and roll cast.
- Understand the why & how of fly casting.
- Learn how to control your loop size.
Details
A solid foundation in casting will allow you to match your cast to the water situation with no fatigue or frustration. The focus of this workshop will be improving your overhead cast and roll cast. You will learn drills that you can do to master these two foundational casts. The quality of your loop impacts your accuracy, your distance, and your fly presentation. You will learn how to cast narrow and wide loops and what fishing conditions to use them in.
What to bring
Make sure you have your rod butt section, a pen with a cap, and a dinner knife to join in.
