Late in September, I attended my fourth International Women’s Fly Fishing Festival in Bozeman, Montana. Like past Festivals I had a great time. On Thursday night at the opening event I glanced around the room and realized that I had met almost half of the women at past IWFF events. It was great to see old friends who share with me a common passion of fly fishing. I totally enjoyed myself the entire event. In addition to “catching” up with old friends I joined in on the Simms Factory Tour – pretty impressive. I also helped with teaching the casting classes only one of the many fly fishing classes that were offered at the event. And guess what I even found some time to go fishing. Rebecca, like I was busy most of the time with other responsibilities, but we snuck out on Friday morning for float on the lower Madison River. We pretty much were casting streamers – with not a lot of action. However, as you can see in the following photos – all of efforts of casting did pay off with landing two large nice rainbows.
